Why Having a Doula Matters

Pregnancy, labor, and birth are monumental experiences, but they can also bring a lot of uncertainty and stress. That’s where I come in. As a certified doula, my role is to provide unwavering emotional, physical, and informational support—helping you feel confident, prepared, and empowered every step of the way. Whether you're navigating your first pregnancy or preparing for baby number three, my goal is to be your calm, knowledgeable, and caring guide through the journey of bringing your baby into the world.

Common Concerns Expecting Parents Face

You might be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or unsure about what to expect during your pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. It's totally normal to have fears or concerns, and you're not alone. Here are some challenges I often hear from my clients:

  • Fear of the unknown: What will labor be like? Will I be able to handle it?

  • Lack of support: You may feel like you’re not sure who to turn to for guidance or reassurance.

  • Feeling unprepared: Between all the baby gear and advice overload, it’s hard to know what’s really important.

  • Uncertainty around birth plans: What happens if things don’t go as planned? How do I advocate for myself in the delivery room?

These are real concerns—and I’m here to address them. With me by your side, you won’t have to navigate these challenges alone. We’ll create a plan, prepare you mentally and physically, and ensure you feel supported, no matter what comes your way.

What You Can Expect with My Doula Packages?

When you work with me, you're not just getting a doula. You’re gaining a reliable, reassuring partner who’s fully committed to your unique experience. Here’s how you’ll benefit from my services:

  • Emotional & Physical Support: From calming breathing techniques to constant reassurance, I’ll be your rock through labor, helping you manage pain and stay grounded.

  • Preparation & Confidence: Together, we’ll go over prenatal education, birth plans, and physical prep to ensure you’re ready for labor, no matter how it unfolds.

  • Advocacy: I’ll be your voice when you need it, helping you advocate for your wishes and comfort during labor and delivery.

  • Postpartum Recovery: I’ll also be there to support your transition after birth, offering emotional support, newborn care tips, and helping you adjust to your new normal.

By the time you’re holding your baby in your arms, you’ll look back and know that you were supported every step of the way—not just through your birth, but through the emotional and physical transformation of becoming a parent.

Inclusive, Accessible Care for Every Family

Every family deserves support, no matter their background, identity, or birth preferences. I provide culturally respectful, trauma-informed care and tailor my services to meet your unique needs. If you have specific concerns, let’s chat about how I can best support you.

We cannot sing the praises of our Doula Chelsea loud enough! As first time parents going through a rainbow baby pregnancy, we were very nervous for the whole process. She kept us super informed every step of the way and eased so many worries. She answered every question tactfully and gave much needed postpartum suggestions that have made our lives with a newborn easier. Her attentiveness, knowledge, and bag of tricks in the hospital was a big part of what made my delivery such a positive experience. She was with us every step of my long labor, giving me support but also my husband. I’ve been so impressed with her follow up and check ins in this postpartum season. I feel seen, heard, and supported! If you are on the fence about hiring a doula, do yourself a favor and go for it! It brought a level of ease and confidence to childbirth that I’m very thankful for.
